Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga in Colden Common

Chair yoga is an ideal exercise for those suffering from a wide range of conditions, such as chronic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoporosis, arthritis and multiple sclerosis. It may also benefit people in later life who have trouble with the pace, balance and postures of a traditional yoga class.

Chair yoga provides a stable way to practice for those who otherwise might find yoga daunting and offers a myriad of benefits including increased strength and flexibility, weight management and an improved mental state.

And whilst chair yoga isn’t just for the elderly it can be particularly helpful for the older generations to implement practices such as chair yoga into their routines to maintain mobility, balance and confidence.

If you or someone you know might benefit from starting a chair yoga practice and would like some advice then please do put them in touch. I’d love to help.

9-10:30am Monthly Sunday Chair Yoga at Colden Common Community Centre

One Sunday morning every month we meet for 90 minutes of chair yoga. This is an accessible class, appropriate for anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of yoga without the need to get up and down from the floor, balance or stand.

The Patrick Moore Suite is located round the corner to the left inside the centre and is accessible by wheelchair. With step free access and automatic doors.
